Posting New Topics
New Topics cannot be initiated in forums such as Mahsa Act's which have to do with project work, The only ones allowed to do so are the Moderators. Regular volunteers can only reply to existing Topics (aka Tasks).
If a need arises for a new Task, post to the 'Task List' Topic in that project's forum.
Other forums, which are not focused on specific projects, do not necessarily have such a restriction. Regular users can initiate New Topic in them.
- This site is for volunteers who work towards a secular, democratic Iran.
- It is about completing tasks, not about political discussion or news.
- Most tasks belong to specific projects.

Good Practices
- Subscribe to forums. Click the "Subscribe forum" button, on the bottom left-hanf side of a forum's page, to be notified of new posts.
- Enable Notifications: "User Control Panel > Edit posing defaults > Notify me upon replies by default"
- Record on the forum. Minimize email and chats; try to do/ask/publish/etc everything on the forum.
- Record everything, record often. Record any questions, obstacles, achievements etc. On the forum‘s thread for the corresponding task.
- Don’t exhaust yourself. Record your work in a way that allows anyone else to pick-up where you left. Work as if you may go away for a few months, and someone else will take over!
- Record sources. Any sources you stumble upon, or means/mechanisms for finding them. On the forum.
